I enrolled into Shippi’s Water colour botanical art classes and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Shippi really makes you feel welcomed and is very helpful, friendly and warm, creating a great learning environment. Her passion for water botanical art truely shines in every class. I learned a lot about colour and depth, knowing my highlighted areas and bringing the subject to life with Shippi’s teachings was just magical! I definitely recommend her classes. The “Botanical Art” semester classes, short courses and workshops tutored by Shipra Shah were a great addition to the range of classes offered by Brisbane Institute of Art - they were always very popular. Shipra’s expertise and great skill in this area is such, that since she has moved away from Brisbane, we have not been able to replace her or offer Botanical art as part of our programs.

Shipra helped me “see” what to paint and how to paint it . I very much appreciated her patience with my attempts to get it right and only had to look at her exquisite work to be inspired to try harder. I would also like to thank her for her generous spirit in sharing her talent with us. Since she has left Queensland I have enrolled in another botanical course here on the Sunshine Coast and hope that it comes up to the high standard that she has set.

Throughout my dealings with Shipra, she has been extremely professional and flexible. I was looking for watercolour botanic prints to transfer on to fabric and Shipra was recommended to me, I am so thrilled I found her! Shipra was extremely thorough and ensured that as a client I was happy with every part of the process. Shipra checked in regularly with updates on my pieces and took on board all my feedback. The end result I couldn’t be happier with – the detail in my two prints are almost photo like and the colours are so realistic and vibrant. I would recommend Shipra to anyone looking for a piece of art that reflects care, thought and a great deal of talent.
